Revelation 3:20 - Are You Saved? The Bible has the answer - Ramón Augusto

ARE YOU SAVED?

REVELATION 3:20

Are you certain you’ll be in heaven? Keep reading and find the peace that only the assurance of salvation can bring.

The Bible says, “that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). It’s that simple. Confessing with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” means to audibly declare (out loud) that Jesus is the ruler and sovereign of your life. It’s an act of humility, surrender, and total commitment to Jesus as our Savior and Lord. It’s a recognition that we need His forgiveness and that we want to follow and obey Him in everything. However, confession alone is not enough. One must also believe in their heart “that God raised Him from the dead.” This is the other key element. The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate proof of His divinity and power over death. Believing in the heart implies having a genuine and deep faith in the redemptive work of Jesus, trusting that His sacrifice on the cross paid for all our sins.

It sounds very simple, doesn’t it? And it is! But not for everyone. For many people, this act of surrender is very difficult. Jesus said: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children” (Matthew 11:25). He also said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:2-4). The whole Bible points to the fact that God hates pride and delights in humility. For this reason, the plan of salvation is only accessible to those who are able to repent and humble themselves before God, for He will not allow anyone to boast in His presence (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Now, pay close attention because we’ve reached the critical point. One of the most quoted verses in the Bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Trusting in the revelation the Holy Spirit may give you, listen: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

God wants to give you eternal life today. He only asks you to believe in His Son and in the sacrifice He made for you. God not only knows your name; He knows every detail of your life, He knows everything you’re going through, He knows your thoughts, your doubts, your sins, your qualities, your feelings, your anxieties. God knows everything about you… and He loves you. God loves you immensely. No matter what you’ve done, no matter how bad your past may be, God loves you! Believe it! God wants to save your soul from a horrible eternal destiny. All you need to do is confess with your mouth (audibly) that Jesus is Lord and accept the revelation that God raised Him from the dead. It is very important that you do it out loud, because it is an act of faith. It’s something only you can do! No one can do it for you! I encourage you to take that step right now! Break all the mental barriers that stand in your way and secure your salvation!

I invite you, in an act of surrender and faith, like a child, with humility, to kneel in your room or wherever you are, and make your confession of faith (out loud) with this short prayer:

Lord Jesus, help me. I repent of my sins. I need a new life. Today I ask You to come into my life. I give You my heart, my life, my being, all that I have, and all that I am. Accept me, Lord. I need You. Forgive my sins. Save me. Write my name in the book of life. I believe in Your sacrifice on the cross and in Your resurrection. I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You paid for my sins. Thank you, Lord Jesus. I acknowledge You as my only Lord and Savior. Amen.
