I started praying for each of my siblings, one by one, and then something wild came to mind: what if instead of praying for them daily, I asked for protection over all the days they\u2019ve got left, until they reach Jesus\u2026 until they\u2019re safe?<\/p>\n<p>Now, just to be clear, I wasn\u2019t thinking this because I\u2019m lazy or trying to dodge daily prayer time. This idea came from a real fear\u2014what if one day I forget to pray, and something happens to them because I slipped up? This thought has bothered me ever since I became a believer. I\u2019ve been through some dark horrible times, and I am fully aware of the existence of the devil and demons. But I also know God\u2019s mercy. And trust me, I\u2019ve experienced the power of prayer. That\u2019s why I try my best not to forget to pray for them every day. The fight for our souls is real\u2014it\u2019s happening up in heaven, while we\u2019re down here, just forgetting about it.<\/p>\n<p>So I prayed, asking for protection over each of my siblings, then my nieces, and eventually the whole family tree, including those super distant cousins I barely even know. That\u2019s when it hit me\u2014I should probably finish showering and get back to life.<\/p>\n<p>Then I remembered: wait a second, I haven\u2019t prayed for myself yet! So I asked God to protect me too. In that moment, Psalm 91 popped into my head, and I felt the Holy Spirit\u2019s presence. Without thinking, I immediately whispered:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, w<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>ill rest in the shadow of the Almighty.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>And I was overwhelmed. I couldn\u2019t help but cry as I repeated those words:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, w<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>ill rest in the shadow of the Almighty.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This time, I said it with even more faith, and then the second verse hit me:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;I will say of the Lord, \u2018He is my refuge and my fortress, <\/strong><\/em><em><strong>My God, in whom I trust.\u2019&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>I walked out of the shower, still repeating those verses, each time with more faith. In my heart, I told the Holy Spirit, &#8220;I don\u2019t want to lose this feeling of peace.&#8221; His response wasn\u2019t in words or even ideas. It was pure joy\u2014a deep love for my Creator.<\/p>\n<p>After drying off and getting dressed, I grabbed my Bible, knelt down, and read all of Psalm 91 out loud. As I read, I realized that there are so many people who need to hear what I just experienced. So many people are searching for the same comfort I just received.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why I prepared this message. I believe the Holy Spirit placed it on my heart.
